• Lapwing: The lapwing is sometimes called the pewit because of its distinctive call. They are found on our lowlands. Because of the decline in numbers, we are taking part in an RSPB survey.
• Barn owl: The barn owl is a beautiful bird that can be found around the farm. It can be heard and seen at night.
• Woodpeckers: We have two sorts of woodpeckers here – the Green Woodpecker and the Great Spotted Woodpecker. You can see the latter feeding on the bird table.
• Red kite: This bird is strictly protected. It can be seen here and on neighboring land gliding slowly over the hillsides.
• Otters: The otter has found its way back to our waters. Tracks show five toed webbed feet and tail in the sandy seashore.
• Badger: Thriving in numbers here. Mainly emerging at night, it follows well-trodden paths to and from its feeding grounds.

Various other birds and animals can be found here e.g. foxes, buzzards, hedgehogs, gray squirrels, rabbits and hares. Birds include the gray heron, Canada goose, shell duck, mallard, kestrel, pheasant, stone curlew, woodcock, snipe, wood pigeon, tawny owl, swallow, house martin, wren, yellow wagtail, pied wagtail, jay, robin, song thrush, blackbird, blue tit, and the house sparrow - just to name a few.
